20 Things That Happen When You And Your Best Friend Get Drunk

As seen on Pretty52 : http://www.pretty52.com/articles/20-things-that-happen-when-you-and-your-best-friend-get-drunk

It doesn't matter if you're just having a 'few' with your best friend or going for a full blown night out, when you two are together, you could literally conquer the world!

1. You set the world to rights.

Wouldn't life be like 10000x easier if people just followed that pre-planned script in your head? Luckily with the power of wine and the fellow bitchiness of your bff, you can get over it.

2. SHOTS. SHOTS. SHOTS.

Did someone say Tequila?!!

3. Your dance moves give Beyonce a run for her money.

Yup, its all about da booty shake. Who run the world? Girls! (Specifically you & your bff, of course.)

4. You make friends with a bunch of random people.

Although they're not on the same level of cool as you and your best friend, you decide that these people are worth talking to and let them become a part of your gang for a while. Until one tries to hit on your friend and then you pretend you're her lesbian lover and make a quick getaway. Happens all the time.

5. Your sex life gets discussed.

I'm soz guys, but like Rachel from Friends pointed out, it happens. We. Know. EVERYTHING. (Lolz)

6. All (remaining, since there are like none to begin with) secrets get spilled.

Y'know how when someone says 'please don't tell anyone this'? We'll reply with 'of course' while in our heads we're already calculating the time from receiving the information to when we can text our best friend about it. That's just the way life is.

7. You reminisce about all the hilarious times you've had together.

There really is no better feeling than laughing with the person that probs knows you better than you know yourself. You two have your own language that you could say one word to each and you instantly know what they're talking about.

8. Small talk doesn't even exist.

The nights out where everyone is in that sober-not-really-drunk-stage and are required to make small talk is the worst EVER. But thankfully, that isn't an issue here. There are no topics off limits, let's face it.

9. You both transform into philosophers.

But what WOULD life be without a best friend? Things will get deep and you'll start imagining your future together. Screw guys, THIS is your soul-mate.

10. Unlike when you're on a group night out, you don't really need to worry about one getting too drunk and having to care for them.

Yup, cos you're both probably paralytic by the end of the night, scoffing down a greasy kebab, with no shame. Cos who's there to judge? Your best friend? Ha, I think not.

11. Your heart is literally bursting with happiness.

And why wouldn't it? Some real quality *ahem, drunk* time with your favourite person in the whole entire world!!

12. And if you haven't seen them in a while, you fill them in on every little detail.

Nothing is spared here, even down to what your Gran cooked for dinner last week cos only she'll understand just how good her macaroni cheese is.

13. (Drunk or sober) They'll tell you like it is.

None of this bullshit, beating round  the bush crap; you're guaranteed great and honest life advice here. Cheers to that.

14. The compliments are genuine.

You know they're telling the truth and not just trying to make you feel good by telling you that you look amazing. Cheers bbz, I appreciate it.

15. Singing is inevitable.

It can vary from a ballad or cheesy 90s pop to a movie theme tune, or even a song you both remember from Girl Guides. OH. And you're harmonies are (obviously) on point.

18. You'll go to the bathroom together.

1. So you can carry on your 7hr conversation, and 2. So neither of you are left looking like loners with the other one leaves.

17. Silly selfies.

And lots of them! More for the memoriessss <3

18. But other than that, you hardly check your phone or the time

Cos you're having faaar to much fun to care about the outside world!

19. You make a pact.

Okay, so if we're both single by the time we're 40 we'll get married, buy a campervan and just travel Europe. Seems like a brilliant plan at the time.

20. You'll constantly say stuff like:

'I love us.' 'I know right?! I love us too,' and 'This is the best night ever!'

Best friends are the best!

Skin Care Routine

My skin is in one of the worst conditions it has ever been in and I honestly don't know why. I mean I'm not stressed with uni or anything, I've not been wearing make up unless I'm going somewhere with friends etc, I've been eating more healthily. But nope, my skins doing a massive ha, fuck you anyway.

I've recently started using (to help clear it up!) micellar water from Garnier's range and it does seem to be helping a bit, whilst also applying tea-tree oil to any spots I feel coming on.

What does everyone recommend for a easy & daily skin care routine?

My skin is quite sensitive, but thankfully not too greasy or too dry.

Thanks for any tips!

My Summer Holiday: Amsterdam!

I'd like to start off by apologising for pretty much neglecting my blog for over a week...but sometimes life is just too fun. Especially when you're in a stunning city with your boyfriend and wine is only 3euros. Yup, you heard right.

I had the most amazing week in Amsterdam, spending quality time with Blair and experiencing such an interesting culture.

Day 1

Ok, so before I start telling you how wonderful everything is, let's get something straight. Early morning flights are hell. I mean yeah you get most of the day at the other end, but who likes 6 am flight?! Aaaaand that doesn't even mean you leave at 6 am. Oh no, airport rules mean you have to be there about 2 hours before. I'm just saying but, 4am starts should be illegal.

When we arrived in Amsterdam we decided to just wander and explore on the first day to get our bearings right. We stumbled upon little street markets and pretty much ate our own body weight sampling all the Dutch food!

This was Nutella flavoured frozen yoghurt!

Frites! (Chips with mayonnaise is the greatest invention in the world btw)

This was our hotel room, which was so lovely! We stayed in Hotel Aalborg which I would totally recommend.

Day 2

On the Wednesday, we visited Anne Frank's house. We were soooo lucky that we decided to book our tickets online in advance as the queue was 3hours long! Crazy!

For me, Anne Frank's house was the most interesting part of the trip. Growing up I think I read her diary about 10 times, I was fascinated by the strength and courage a young girl showed during such a disturbing time; when many would have given up hope, Anne didn't. It was such a surreal experience to actually stand in a room where her & her family once hid.

After, we decided to visit the famous series of 7 bridges, and sit by a canal. It was so peaceful to sit and watch the world go by.

Day 3

This was our 'tourist day'as we visited so many places: the Amsterdam Dungeons, Madame Tussaud's and *cringes* the Sex Museum.

The Dungeons were hilarious, we could not stop laughing and screaming the whole way round. Definitely worth a visit. Oh- and this is my boyfriend in a coffin.

Pictures from Madame Tussaud's.

Day 4

This day we hired bikes, visited the Rijiksmuseum and went to an Ice Bar.

The museum was incredible inside, we couldn't get over how huge it was and how much there was to see. Oh, and we snuck in. And by snuck in I mean we pretended we were 18 so we didn't need to pay 30euros. Poor students and all that, y'know?
(Ps if anyone who works there is reading this I'm very sorry, but I needed that money for my cocktails at Amsterdam's Hard Rock Cafe that night.)

Our bright red bikes. Shout-out to the woman I nearly crashed into at Rembrantplein- soz about that.

Unfortunately it was faaaar to busy to get a proper picture of the Iamsterdam sign :(

At the ice bar- which was -9 degrees!!

Day 5

This day we decided to get 'out of the city' for a bit to visit Vondelpark and wow, what a stunning place.

This was an open-air theatre which had acts performing,

View of Vondelpark!

Day 6

This was on the most beautiful parts of the holiday! We picked a canal cruise in the evening because we wanted to see them all lit up, and it was honestly incredible. There are so many canals in Amsterdam, which I'm sure you can imagine, but seeing them all consecutively at night was such an experience.

Oh, and also being the book geek and tourist that I am, I made Blair visit The Fault in Our Stars bench with me. Which btw, is exactly like it is in the movie *all the feels*.

Day 7

Worst day ever... cos y'know we had to come home unfortunately.

Hope you enjoyed reading all about my Amsterdam adventures! I had the best time ever.
